Human Genetics Instruction

Welcome Human Genetics students!

This online presentation is comprised of a series of tutorials intended to help you as you embark upon your thesis research.  They were designed by the SLC Research Librarians to answer the following questions:

  • What are the best resources for research in Human Genetics at the library?
  • What kinds of research support are available to me at the library?
  • What are the most efficient and effective search techniques to use in academic databases?
  • How can I access Human Genetics theses from previous years?

Each section contains a tutorial on a specific library resource or research strategy.  Some sections include video tutorials, while others will ask you to participate in an activity. Most sections have a quiz at the end to test and reinforce what you have just learned.

While this online presentation contains a lot of information, there is much more to know and learn, so we encourage you to reach out to us, either by booking a one-on-one research consultation, or by emailing or calling with question.  We are here to help!
